At CCJA, we use R time once a week to support building effective relationships and good manners.
The programme teaches children to understand and value differences and things in common and respect the rights of others to have beliefs and values which are different from their own.
"R time is a programme that raises children's self - esteem, builds confidence and develops broad friendships as well as encouraging respect, courtesy and good manners and the skills of making relationships. It enables children to feel really good about themselves. These are skills for school and learning as well as for life." Peter Harvey R Time
" Pete Harvey, the author of the R time programme has worked both with Cavendish Close Infants and Cavendish Close Juniors. It forms a seamless link between our two schools.
The R time programme has contributed to the ongoing improvement of our school. The philosophy of courtesy to each other, care for each other, children feeling good about themselves is a really great educational motivator."
