British Values

At Cavendish Close Junior Academy, British Values are woven through every aspect of school life. Our Harmony Pledge guides pupils to show respect, kindness, and responsibility, while our PSHE curriculum helps them learn how to live safely and positively within a diverse society. Through assemblies, we explore themes such as democracy, tolerance, and mutual respect, and our character competencies encourage pupils to develop integrity, resilience, and empathy. Visits, wider experiences, and opportunities to serve as representatives—such as on the Academy Council—give pupils real-life ways to practise these values. We celebrate different religions and beliefs across our community, ensuring every child feels valued and included.
